So I will list my activities and I hope you`ll get a feeling of it all, but there are fundives also, but for example reading a non-diving-book there is not so much time… At the end I will count all dives.

– Skindiving in the pool and in the ocean
– Dive briefings (for new guests at their arrival and on the boat for a special diveside/situation)
– Doing boat briefings
– Helping the guest to get the complete rental equipment
– Preparing the equipment for the guest (incl. carrying, washing, drying)
– Scuba Review workshop (a certified diver didn´t dive for a long time and want to practise some skills before the real dive, sodoing some exercises like “mask clearing”)
– Snorkeling workshop (they build the situation to lead a group for snorkeling…one never snorkelled, one a little bit, both can´t really swim and the third person was experience… so paperwork, briefing, train a little bit, snorkeling, debriefing)
– Discover Scuba diving in confined water (we did it in the pool, some importand skills to have fun at the first dive…watch next point……)
– Discover Scuba diving in open water (two person never dived – only did the pool session, going with an instructor and me down to maximum 12 meters….omg, what a stressfull situation….)
– Discover local diving (in Asia I think it is normal diveguiding, maybe in other places you have to pay extra for it, if you don`t have a buddy or want to go alone as a Buddyteam)
– I also helped with open water students in open water (it was a training simulation in case no open water students are coming before I leave, but sometimes the certified students in the simulation are more stressful because they do everything what could happen, and they do… maybe I will get some real students also…
-I also helped with certified divers in open water(there were two student, who were OWD and want to get the adventure deep dive – this allows you to go 30 meters deep without being an AOWD)

For all the dives I had to prepare the equipment and to check it and to carry (helping hand from the staff includet).

We checked also if I understand my computer. One day we get some informations about filling the tanks, working with the compressor, fill a nitrox tank. It was interesting but after filling some tanks I knew…”thats not my favorite job”. But many respect to the guys doing it…

I also get a Tec Dive Introduction in the pool with rebreather, side mount tanks, and double tank. Interesting. Diving with a rebreather is not so easy because to find the perfect buoyancy. The other kinds of diving are closer to the “normal” diving. For me was it easier to dive with.

So today we did a search and recovery exercise. But most work had my divemaster (student) college.I did more the helping act because I have got the specialty.We did some knots (also blind) under water…

Next dive my DM-colleague had to brief, guide and debrief 3 AOWD (another DM, the instructor, and me were the actors). I was the most experience with 70 dives. So ear problems, diving away, trying to touch something, answer confusing about the air, forgetting to inflate/deflate BCD were the situations we acted. So I think it was a hard job to guide us and to show something of the underwater life. But she did it well!!!!!

Coming back I got the information that the theorytest is only in english available. But I can use a dictonary and one instructer speaks good germen and can help to translate if something is not clear, after lunch the Instructor asked if I want to do Exam 1 (60 questions). So she translated many things (thx Sandy) and I finished with 97 %. Only 2 mistakes which were silly – not stupid (hope there is a difference in english). So I was very proud and said “now or never” and did also Exam 2. It was spontaneous much harder and I was really scared to fail the test. But it were 88% and now I have got a hot, painful head and finish my blog for this week.

Maybe I will drink my first beer after leaving the plane…
