This week in lembeh…… Black Is Back!! Not to sound redundant but it is worth mentioning, This is the Second Black hairy frogfish seen this year! This rare color variation of the hairy frogfish is an incredible find. So far they have been seen nestled near big groups of fire urchins. Our guests didn’t know what to look at because 5 meters away a mimic octopus was swimming about as well!
We have been having some amazing dives lately. Fiona, Nicole, Adrian, and Colin were obviously very happy with the find of the Black hairy frogfish, though in the same dive had seen two coconut octopus, seahorses, a mimic, ambon scorpionfish and more. DMT Andreas has been checking things off his list like crazy with the sight of: Hairy Frogfish, Ambon Scorpionfish, Flamboyant cuttlefish, Mimics. His camera has been getting quite the workout. DMT Barbara comes back from most dive’s having seen something new, or multiple things new.
We have also been seeing: Rough snout ghost pipefish, Robust ghost pipefish, painted frogfish, Papuan cuttlefish, Bigfin Reef Squid, Blue ring octopus, that’s just to name a few. Happy Happy Divers all around!
