The Life at the south gilis is blooming. Fish derive many benefits from shoaling behavior including defense against predators enhanced foraging success, and higher success in finding a mate.
This week in Lombok we saw amazing numbers of reef fish; small critters and craps all kind; giant frogfish; hairy frogfish; scorpion leaf fish; crocodilefish; pygmy seahorse; robust ghost pipefish; more turtle than ever; our homies the whitetipshark; and many more!
Johannes and Birgit were happy to be back in water. They didn’t dive for many years and did a refresher with Kiko our PADI Divemaster. The healthy reefs and the stunningly beauty of the under water world at the south gili impressed them in a amazing way. They were surrounded by fish any kind. So many that they almost could not see the reef.
Also we had first timer Vivian and Willem. The both of them saw at their first dive a turtle. Willem decided to do a PADI Open Water Course straight away and were not disappointed. At all of his open water dives he saw turtle. We like to say congratulations to Willem.
Hope to see you with us in South Lombok soon…
