I always appreciate it when one of our guests asks to undertake the peak performance buoyancy course; in my eyes that is diving.
When someone realises firstly that they need assistance with their buoyancy but also the value that good buoyancy has to a diver. Not only the obvious; energy conservation as you glide effortlessly through the water or the lower air consumption that automatically follows: but also being better in control shows more respect for the underwater environment that we choose to visit when we are diving. Streamlined kit, good trim position, anti-silting propulsion techniques; these are not just the skillset of the novice technical diver but should be adopted by anyone looking to spend time under the surface with the consideration to try and have as little impact as possible. Well done to all those divers who make the effort to polish their diving skills rather than just making do with surviving each dive at the expense of those that live there.
Congratulations to Icy and Dariusz from China and Germany who completed their PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course this week; strangely enough Dariusz has actually found backwards kick to be easier than the frogkick, which is a first!
Congratulations also to Alisha, Stijn, Tim and Arvid who all completed their Open Water courses; and Alisha also managed to squeeze in the time to get a year older too. Happy Birthday Alisha!
