In the picture you see our divemaster trainee Sara in full action assisting our instructor Markus on her first open water course. Here she tells you how it came to it…: Back in Belgium an impulsive decision led to a range of beautiful moments and a step in life where I didn’t think of being ready for but now I can’t let go of the idea of becoming a divemaster.
I booked my ticket to Sulawesi two days before departure with the idea of going diving for 5 days in Bunaken and then travel around the island. I remember very well the question at immigration: ‘how long will you stay?’ My answer was so confident and sure ’21 days’ that I believed myself. Despite that I have been here in Two Fish for almost 3 weeks now 🙂 So I arrived at the island after a 28h trip and then the fun really started: beautiful diving, I met fun people, had musical nights, enjoyed relaxing at the pool. I rolled into a free sidemount pool session which wasn’t easy at all but by this I was challenged to do the course of 2/3 days. It is amazing to see the improvement I made from a clumsy uncomfortable pool session to ‘Sara you looked so professional with your two tanks’ one week later on a fun dive.
After this course I asked instructor Markus, what can you teach me next? So here I am: doing my dive master course for 4 weeks in Bunaken and two weeks in Lembeh.
