On Gili Air this week we have had our resident Mr Daniel Swahn still with us. Daniel is from Sweden and checked into Gili Air back on the 19th September and so far he has completed his Open Water Course, a few fun dives, Advanced course and is now onto his rescue. He is fully addicted and really has become a team member with us here at Divezone. Sadly he will be off to Gili Meno tomorrow for a few days but it is highly likely that he will be back.
Up here in the North Gilis Daniel says that his favourite dive site is Gili Air wall for the topography and vastness of the wall. He started liking the bigger stuff underwater such as Mantis Shrimps, Turtles, Moray eels, Stingrays and the schooling fish like Rainbow runners and trevally. His favourite thing to see is Sharks but he has also become quite interested in the Macro we find around the 3 Islands. At first when Edi (one of our guides) showed him the crabs, shrimps, squat lobsters and so on he said he could see them but they were just so small. Over these two weeks he has progressed to buying a tank banger and now looking for the macro himself.
The visibility this week has been good, ranging from 15-30+ meters. Waves have been clam too which has been brilliant as we have had so many students over the past week that it really is a blessing to have calm surfaces.
