Can you believe it’s been six weeks since I first joined the Two Fish team in Amed? Time flies when you’re having fun as they say, but it’s certainly been racing since I got here.
So, the last few weeks have been a bit of a blur. First of all, I started drinking coffee because I felt I needed it to stay awake and accomplish everything left on my list. It didn’t help that I elt sick for a few days either. Initially, I tried to push through it, but just couldn’t function and ended up being off for a bit.
My advice – if you don’t feel 100%, you’re better off telling your instructors and resting for a couple of days, so you can recover quicker. That’s faster than trying to push and push, especially if you already feel that there is a deadline looming.
I was lucky, though: I got better and my dad arrived to visit, dive a bit and support me on the last few days of my course. On top of that, I had the rest of the Amed team behind me and some local people, who over time had become my Amed family. And although I’m leaving now, I’m sure I’ll come back some day because I’ve had a amazing time here.
