This week in Bunaken we’ve seen some amazing wildlife, spotting large white tip sharks, several stunning scorpion leaf fish and of course plenty of turtles!
The wildlife here in Bunaken is second to none – with some of the best wall dives in Asia, it boasts some incredible coral, inhabited by a huge diversity of beautiful species! As well as scorpion fish, we’ve also seen plenty of puffer and box fish this week – and on a more macro level, lots of nudibranch!
As well as immersing ourselves in this wonderful ecosystem, we’ve also run several courses this week. All the instructors got stuck in with the 5 great guys from Belgium, who entertained us both in the water and out, and we’re proud to say they all did excellently and are now Open Water divers – congratulations guys! Michelle also became a Scuba Diver this week, and Aki completed her Open Water. Ryota completed his Advanced Open Water, and got his Nitrox cert too – happy diving!
We’ve also celebrated Thanksgiving here this week, both in the resort itself and in the village of Bunaken with the locals. It was a lovely day and what better place to celebrate!
