Big eyes swam by asking whether we wanted to be his new best friend. The blotched porcupinefishes in Padang Bai are irresistibly cute and a mix of curious and shy. With Katharina, Anika and Guido we dived the Jetty in Padang Bai, followed by a dive at Turtle Neck. The Jetty is the home of many porcupinefish, pipefish, scorpionfish, beautiful nudibranches and frogfishes, a muck dive enjoyable for every type of diver.
During our second dive we swam by the signpost and the wall where we spotted cowfish, false clown anemonefish, clown triggerfish and leaf scorpionfish. With Susanne, Guido, Katharina and Anika we also dived in Amed, Tulamben and Nusa Penida, four days with loads of fish, turtles, mantas and adventure in Bali.
With Sammy and Kareem we dived in Manta Point and Crystal Bay at Nusa Penida with turtles, mantas and octopus. We were happy to find the octopus because they camouflage so very well! With the dive club from Malaysia, led by Eric, we dived Nusa Penida for two days. They just came back from a trip in Komodo and finalised their week of diving in Bali, hunting for Mola Mola.
We were not so lucky with the Molas but did find schools of barracuda, turtles, tuna’s, giant trevally, humphead wrasse and many more! We are looking forward to a new week of diving, full of adventures!
