It’s not everyday that we get to witness a marriage proposal, and this one was extra special as it happened to Irene and Leo underwater while diving the USAT Liberty Shipwreck in Tulamben, Bali! Leo and Irene, who arrived from Singapore earlier this week, did several days of diving and completed an Enriched Air Diver specialty course. After exploring the legendary shipwreck on their final dive of the week, Leo got down on one fin, with story cards professing his love, and asked Irene to marry him. Our Divemaster, Bayu, helped to organize this special occasion, and one of our instructors documented the event. The happy couple arrived back at Surya Rainbow Villas and were surprised to see their room artistically transformed and decorated with flower petals by our resort staff.
