Highlights from Indonesia
Check out all of the highlights from our Two Fish Divers locations around Indonesia! It’s been an amazing last few months of 2019 but an image says a thousand words, so we are letting the pictures do the talking!
Gili Air
From resident turtles showing off through to Divemaster Interns, beach cleaning and amzing marine life encounters and critters we’ve been having a busy few months to the end of the year at our tropical island resort in Gili Air!
Bunaken
The Bunaken Marine Park never fails to amaze us and in November we were treated to a mola sighting! As well as mola we’ve had regular sightings of schooling barracuda and our resident turtles have been astounding guests by their sheer size. Divemaster interns who’ve joined us at our Bunaken Resort have been blown away by the action underwater and our chilled out island vibes on land!
Lembeh
The Lembeh Strait has been living up to it’s name and delivery some amazing encounters – including a whale shark which happened to cruise by us!! Lembeh also continues to show us why it’s worthy of it’s nick name of the Critter Capital of the World – Rhinopias have been spotted again in the Strait (3 at one dive site!!) along with the ‘holy grail of nudibranch’ the Melibe colemani’, blue ring octopus, bobtail squids, ornate ghost pipefish and a whole host of other macro critters. Earlier this year we constructed a new chill out area at our Lembeh Resort and guest have been putting it to good use between dives and in the evenings AND we’ve had several Divemaster Interns completing sections of the PADI DIvemaster Courses with us too!
Lembongan
The last few months saw the end of the mola and hammerhead season but our year round manta rays have been impresing us along with huge Napoleon wrasse and a myriad of other reef fish. On Nusa Lembongan island we’ve been enjoying stunning sunsets along with our adopted Bali Beach Dogs; our Bali Divemaster interns have been enjoying island life; and our Instructor Development Course saw us help another amazing IDC group to achieve their dreams of becoming PADI Instuctors!
Amed
Wow – what an amazing three months! We have been super busy with PADI Courses and professional training. Amed is a popular spot for those who want to take Divemaster Internships in Bali and experience incredible diving and the culture of Bali. December was the month of Tumpak Landep where all things made of metal are blessed – Balinese culture is full of special ceremony days! Our diving has been as awesome asd every and we’ve been visiting the USAT liberty shipwreck as well as enjoying a nudibranch mating season on our House Reef.
South Lombok
Also known as the ‘Two Fish Divers Dive Farm’ due to the collection of animals that have adopted us, we have been busy at our Two Fish Divers South Lombok Resort! Although our hammerhead season in Belongas Bay drew to a close in November we still had to wait for the rains to come and have been enjoying continued long, sunny days. We welcomed a big group of divers from Angkasa Pura as well as having numerous PADI Divemaster Trainees spend time with us to work on their professional diving skills. Also in this quarter we’ve been making some improvements around the resort and we now have a dartboad, fire-pit and pizza oven – not bad for a remote dive resort in Indonesia!!!
