Clownfish at Nusa Penida
Lots of amazing diving around Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida during the last week. Dive sites like Mangrove, Toyapakeh and SD were filled with warm waters and tons of fish. Even if we are in low season and there was no encounter with big stuff our customers Reed and Peeter from Estonia and Ulrich from Germany explored wonderful healthy reefs, billions of fish and also some macro stuff.
But one species always makes them smile – Anemonefish!! We have different species of them living around our islands like the Clark’s anemonefish which can be really protective, the skunk clownfish and of cause the false clown anemonefish, the most pretty one in my opinion. On the edge of the massive anemones they live in – sometimes they are a few meters long and wide – you will find different kinds of shrimp and porcelain crabs (below) in there too which makes it a lot more fun to check every single anemone – if you can get past the clownfish!

Porcelain crab also hide out in anemones!
Even the new divers we certified last week at Two Fish Lembongan could have a look at our beautiful clownfish as they live also in the shallow parts of the reef.. Last week we had Abdul Haq finishing his Open water course, Jane did an awesome job in doing her advanced open water course, Mikkel finished his EFR course and after this, together with Michaela from Germany, they rocked their PADI Rescue course.
