A curious looking couple we met the other day when diving in Padang Bai, Bali. Seamoths are a very unusual looking fish and are often hard to find. The most amazing thing about seamoths is that they form long lasting monogamous bonds with their partner, a real happy love story!
Seamoths walk over the bottom using their fins and are very well camouflaged against the sandy bottom. Their snout is long to be able to suck worms and small invertebrates out of crevices. They are a real special find and our divers Eugene and Shane were also very excited to spot one! Seamoths are not known to be territorial, but this couple is often spotted in the same area, so we believe they made Turtle Neck in Padang Bai their home.
With Eugene and Shane we dived Tulamben, Padang Bai, and Nusa Penida. It was a beautiful couple of days with a lot of mantas, nudis, comfortable drifts, sunshine and a napoleon wrasse. We hope to see both of you back in Bali when Molas roam the islands!

We also visited Amed with Suzanne last week for two comfortable dives. Amed has the perfect combination of muck diving and coral reefs, and we were lucky with pristine visibility! Suzanne plays the Two Fish Divers Bingo and has already visited all Bali and North-Sulawesi dive centres, maybe next time she’ll visit the Lombok area and she’ll have BINGO! 😉
