From Sanur we organize daily day trips to the most beautiful spots in Bali, but what can you expect from a day trip to Tulamben? Day trips are perfect for people that have their families or friends staying in Sanur, Kuta or Seminyak and want to fit some diving into the holiday without completely dedicating the holiday to diving, or while having a few days before or after your travels through Bali.
Your day trip starts with pick up from your hotel by one of our drivers who will bring you to our dive center in Sanur. At the dive center, you are welcomed with a cup of Bali coffee, tea or water, and a big smile from your guide of the day. We let you try on the equipment to make sure it fits well, and we have to make sure the paperwork is signed. Then our driver will take us to Tulamben. From Sanur, it’s 2.5 hours to the restaurant Paradise in Tulamben, on the road we’ll pass the monkey temple, the bat temple, beautiful rice fields, and Balinese villages.
In Paradise, we pre-order lunch, do our dive briefings and prepare our dive gear. Depending and your preferences we dive at the USAT Liberty wreck, or the dive sites coral garden or drop off, some people even prefer to dive the wreck twice in one day! After the first dive, we come back to the restaurant and enjoy our lunch, have some fresh fruits and cookies. Our surface intervals are minimal 1 hour so there’s also time to shoot some nice pictures of the palm trees at the ocean and the pebble beach.
After the second dive, we pack our gear and take a shower before returning to Sanur. Usually, we return at the dive center in Sanur around 5:30. Back in the dive center we fill in our logbooks and scroll through the fish book to check what marine life we’ve seen that day, while possibly enjoying some refreshments.
Then after a beautiful day in the ocean, it’s time for goodbyes and our driver will bring you back to your hotel.
Tulamben is amazing, it’s must visit when in Bali! The corals are beautiful; there is lots to see for both dedicated muck divers and divers that enjoy the reefs and fish.
