Have you been following the news recently about Mount Agung? The volcano warning has now dropped from level 4 and the exclusion zone has been reduced which means we can now safely access our Two Fish Divers Amed Resort!
Agung has been grumbling away since late September but has not erupted and is now reported to be going back to sleep! Although Amed was declared as a totally safe area by the volcanologists monitoring Agung and the government, we temporarily closed our Two Fish Divers Amed dive centre as our access road from South Bali passed through an exclusion zone. We firmly believe in guest safety first and with no shortage of other awesome dive sites in Bali we took the decision to close until the road and Agung were officially declared safe.
With the volcano warning dropping from level 4 and the exclusion zone being reduced, the road and Agung are officially declared safe so our dive center & resort on Amed is now open!!
Supporting the Amed people
Amed was one of the areas where people who were living close to Agung were being evacuated to and during the short period we closed, our Amed based staff were on full salaries and providing assistance to those Balinese family and friends who had been moved into Amed for safety. We are extremely happy to have been able to support the local community during this time.
Awesome Amed
Amed offers awesome reefs, macro diving, heaps of turtles and some of Bali’s best dive sites – we are loving every minute of being back in the water there! Also around Bali, we’ve had one of the best seasons ever for mola sightings at Nusa Lembongan and Penida, the manta rays have been putting on some impressive displays and on mainland Bali the diving around Padang Bai, Tepekong and Mimpang has given us hoardes of fish and stunning reefs.
