So I have had 2 weeks in Lembeh now and I feel like I have entered a completely different world of diving. Once you think things can’t better they always do. I am fully into my dive master training course which is seriously intense but so much fun at the same time. Here in Lembeh I have had many new experiences such as muck diving, wreck diving and night diving.
I was concerned when I first arrived that muck diving would be hard to adapt to after only ever doing reef diving. Don’t know what I was worried because it is fantastic; looking down and close you see amazing things like, wunderpus, frog fish, ghost pipe fish, shrimps and many more, I still have many more to learn. Some are hard to see are first but when you see them it is incredible.
Wreck diving is another type of diving have been introduced to. I have seen a cuttlefish hunting on the Mawali wreck and also drawn a map of a section of the ship which was for me an achievement hehe. Luke my instructor has taught me techniques for penetrating the wreck, so for one of my specialty dives we will go inside the ship, yay! I have also completed my night dive specialty which I have to say may become my favorite time to dive.
I once again was a bit apprehensive to try this with it being dark and also not being able to see all around. The weirdest thing was that i found it really relaxing, I think maybe this is because you can only focus on one thing at one time. I am really enjoying my time here In Lembeh, can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings 🙂
