What an awesome week in Gili Air with the first part of my tech instructor training complete some amazing dives and making some new friends.
You may or may not know that our tech guru Yvonne has been over in Gili Air training me to tech instructor and with my side, mount an intro to tech complete I am well on the way. Going back to school was a bit of a shock to the system as doing something for so long already it had become natural and trying to revert to the formal structure of presentation and briefings took a few days. Huge thanks to Yvonne for being an awesome instructor trainer I don’t think I have ever learned so much from somebody in such a short time!! And to top it all off we had a surprise on our last dive after jumping in and attempting to do an S-drill and bubble check only to be interrupted by 7 eagle rays of the beach in front of the dive center at 5 meters!!!
Also big thanks to Michael for allowing me to assist on his side mount course and good luck on your IDC in Lembongan.
A great week for spotting stuff this week also with frogfish, robust ghost pipe fish, bobtail squid, mimic octopus, ornate ghost pipe fish, a whole host of nudis and all of it just of the house reef!!
