Have you noticed? Technical diving has moved back to the front page of www.twofishdivers.com. We’ve added more courses and new course packages, too. And that’s not all – there are a few more exciting things being prepared behind the scenes.
We’re now offering TDI’s Extended Range course as well as SDI Solo Diver training! What’s it all about?
Extended Range takes you to the limits of air diving at 55m. You learn to handle multiple deco or stage bottles, allowing you to dive deeper or simply extend your bottom time at shallower depths like 35m. Not only will you experience handling four cylinders, but we will also work on ways to recognise and deal with severe narcosis. this course is great for already qualified technical diver who would like to extend their depth range further, eventually looking to dive with Trimix.
Why would you ever want to dive on your own? You don’t need to be a die-hard techie. Sometimes, the buddy system is just not the answer. For example, when you are looking to stay a little longer in one spot to take that perfect photograph, but the rest of your group or your buddies are pressing on. Or maybe you’ve booked a spot on a liveaboard and rather than looking after a newly qualified diver you would like to explore the reefs on offer. Or, you’re a dive professional who frequently finds themselves diving with not-yet-certified divers. Knowing more about gas management and detailed dive planning adds to anyone’s set of skills.
We’ve also bundled up our PADI and TDI courses into convenient combo packages for those of you looking to complete more than one course at a time. Perfect if you have a week or more time to spend. And what about the other stuff? Watch this space – we’re working on a few changes that will make it easier to come tech diving with us!
