THIS WEEK IN BUNAKEN….The reef fish have been out in force and we thank Wim and Wendy for this lovely photo of a Map Puffer fish. They have been surrounded by Batfish and were passed by a herd of 30 Bumphead parrot fish today. On a trip to Barracuda point, the Barracuda were being elusive, but they did see a big shoal of Jacks and Dolphins on the surface. On the reef there have been Pontohi Pygmy Seahorses, Ornate Ghost Pipfish, Scopionfish, Nudibranchs and Turtles. Gabriel loved everything on his night dive especially the Spanish Dancer, but that couldn’t top the Dugong mother with her calf which he saw while snorkelling outside the resort!
