This is it, my final blog. I have now finished my PADI Divemaster Internship in Indonesia at Two Fish Divers!
On Saturday night we had a great little party at Two Fish Divers Bunaken Resort with lots of singing, music, games and then the ultimate test (Divemasters to be, you will see). I will not forget this awesome night and the last months of training!
When I look back at the time in Lembeh and Bunaken, I see a bunch of colourful days, lovely people, plenty of tasks and skills to practice, becoming smarter by learning a lot about diving, assisting and helping my instructors as well as lots of fun and diving. While I did my Divemaster Internship I had a wonderful time with the staff and I LOVE to hear everyone sing, play guitar, and mama bass. I really appreciate the warmth of your smiles and all of your kindness. My Divemaster Internship in Indonesia was just awesome!
I had a lot of amazing moments underwater enjoying looking at fishes, mammals, corals and crabs. Every dive was different, every dive I found something new that inspired me. This is the great thing about a Divemaster Internship In Indonesia – the diving and marine life are amazing! Here you see so many different animals and fish its unbelievable. I tried to remember 2-3 different fish every dive and to check them in the fish-ID book after the dive. It sometimes was a difficult task and I definitely didn’t have enough room in my logbook for all of the things I saw. It did mean that the next time I went into the water I recognized them and my huge smile flooded my mask – every time :)!!!
I love to do hand signals underwater because it is a universal language and it is kind of magical to be able to communicate in silence. We had a lot of laughs on the boat with the new hand signals we came up with on the dive or different versions. Things like this I will always remember about my Divemaster Internship in Indonesia – a lot of fun moments!
I want to say thank you to Colin, Maia and Dan who were my instructors. Thank you for your effort, time and lovely nature. Every time I saw you underwater I saw the joy in your movements and your eyes! I am very thankful to take away from this time a ‘backpack’ full of magic and wonderful moments. I will be taking them home with me and always remember and save them in my heart.
Thank you to my Divemaster Trainee Buddy Bastien for being a marvelous buddy and I really enjoyed our time training together. All the best for the rest of your course. Thanks also to the wonderful staff in both Two Fish Divers Lembeh and Bunaken. It was a pleasure getting to know everyone and you all made me feel at home and part of the family.
I had a delightful time here in Indonesia so thanks to Two Fish!
See you underwater again 🙂
