This week in Lembongan… Dive guide Andy is normally the one with all the luck, he may have been the only one on the dive that did not see them but his good luck made sure everyone else did see these dolphin’s flipping flippers.
In the great highway of the ocean, creatures often fly on by that we don’t have a chance to truely appreciate what we just saw. Other times a million mermaids could swim by us and pull faces, but we all just happen to be looking the other way. Our divers this week were looking in the right direction at the right time as this pod of dolphins just swam on by. We do often see dolphins playing around on the surface at dive sites like Manta Bay and Manta point. We also see sometime, from the surface, dolphins hunting in the currents at Blue Corner but this time Andy’s luck really pulled through. All the divers (besides Andy) had the chance to fully absorb the excitement of this encounter in a location we don’t normally see them.
A great way to start the new month for Michele and Jason was to complete their PADI Open Water course. We wish them a big congratulations for working hard through their course and being rewarded with a great manta dive for one of their last course dives.
This week we have also seen, lots of manta rays, the sea conditions have become very calm and the sun has been shining, giving us the chance to have some great dives with the mantas. Frog fish, leaf scorpion fish, jumping molas, blue spotted sting rays, bamboo sharks and cleaner shrimp have also entertained our divers.![]()
