Diving on the reefs around Nusa Lembongan and Penida is like flying over Underwater gardens…Or, at least, is how the experience is described often by our divers. The main highlights: Mantas, Molas, Turtles, nudis… Can’t hide the richness and health of the reefs: In a few minutes, you can pass flying on top a field of staghorn corals, give a couple of loops around a giant bommie, have a look inside the huge Sponges to see who is hiding there, observe a turtle laying on top of a mattress of soft corals, as you would do on your sofa… And the massive table corals, and the brain corals… And the extensions of really “gardeny” soft corals… Looking behind the fishes, there is an amazing landscape of so many species and colors and textures! Flying over underwater gardens in Lembongan!

This week we had many divers enjoying the reefs: Scott, from Scotland but based in Singapore; Anil, from India, but based in London; Sergio, a Chef from Mallorca, and Taran and Thomas, from Norway; and Lawrence and Lisa, from Singapore, that came to do the Open Water with our Instructor Anna last November, and now they are back for more! And a good bunch of people learning at the same time that enjoying: Michael and Jake, that passed their PADI Instructor Exam this week (Yay, congratulations!!!) have been completing some dives to become Speciality Instructors; and we had: Oliver Feng, Christine and Andrew, doing the Open Water Course; and Cordelia and Matthew, that are completing their Advanced Open Water as we speak.

And on our last visit to Manta Point we had Satu on board, an intern with Marine Megafauna Foundation, that gave talks about the Mantas to our divers, and was taking ID belly shots of the Mantas that she could: At least, there were 13 different individuals that could be IDed, although she thought that there were more. Exciting!!
