Marbled shrimp or broken-back Shrimp occur worldwide in almost every habitat, from sea water to fresh water and can be found all over the reef. They are generally respected by other creatures, often sharing burrows and holes and working as housekeepers. They will wave their antennae around to attract customers, they then proceed to clean outside and inside the creatures mouths and gills.
Last week in south gilis Lombok we saw crustaceans and critters like corallimorph decorator crap; marivenes spider crap; orang utan crap; hairy spider crap; harlekin schrimp; ; pygmy seahorse; giant green frogfish; ornate ghost pipefish; turtle, whitetip reefshark and many more!
We had Felix and Maria doing a PADI Discovery Dive with us. They had a fantastic time and enjoyed the dive sites, They found a marbeled shrimp and were fascinated about the creatures in the sea, so they did spontaneously another fun dive. The 26 dive sites at the south gili giving their best. The conditions at the are just beautiful. Colourful hard corals and soft corals; clear water, calm sea and stunningly numbers of reef fish.
Thomas did his PADI Adventure Deep dive with us and were thrilled about the depth. We dived the dive site “canyon” with Thomas and visited our homie the whitetip reef shark. The “canyon” offers massive coral plateau, overhangs, ledges and little caves and is home for three whitetip.
