In 2015 PADI launched the PADI Women’s Dive Day event. It was met with a great response worldwide with events going on in over 65 countries, and PADI have decided to repeat PADI Womens’s Dive Day in 2016 on the 16th July.
Two Fish Divers have decided to participate by making some special offers across all of our locations, so remember 16-07-16 not as Barbie’s measurements but as the date of PADI Women’s Dive Day 2016 and read on to find out more about it.
What is PADI Women’s Dive Day?
PADI Women’s Dive Day was day started in 2015 by PADI and was designed to raise interest amongst women around the world in Scuba Diving as a sport. The aim was to get as many women diving on the same day as possible – of all levels – all around the world.
What about men?
Can’t men go diving with us on PADI Women’s Dive Day? Of course they can! This is not a women-only diving day, it’s just a day to encourage women to get into, or back into diving. Scuba diving is still a male-dominated sport, and although women’s certification numbers are rising, we think more women need to learn to dive and keep diving!
Do we have to wear pink?
Absolutely not! Although diving brands have realised that some women love the colour pink, not all of us women do. Feel free to bring your pink dive gear and accessories if you want to, but don’t feel bad if pink is not your thing! Although we did hear a funny story that the male staff in Bunaken would be wearing pink tutu’s on the day – that’s surely got to be worth a visit to see that?
What’s going on at Two Fish?
There alot going on from freebies & discounts, a prize draw and women only dives!
Prize Draw – Every woman who dives with us in any of our locations on July 16th 2016 is going to be entered into a prize draw, and the winner gets a free day of diving! Whilst you are diving all of the names will be taken in all together and a winner selected at random.
Discounts – All women diving with us for a single day of diving on July 16th 2016 will get a 10% discount in any of our locations! For our more far-flung places where it’s harder to get to for a single day, we’re offering a 10% discount on our diving & accommodation packages for the whole week of July 14th – 20th.
Freebies – in each of pour locations we’ll be offering different freebies:
- In Amed & Nusa Lembongan – we are offering all women a free t-shirt who takes a Discover Scuba Diving experience or a refresher / ReActivate with us between July 14th and 20th 2016.
- In Bunaken & Lembeh – in addition to 10% discount on our diving & accommodation packages, all women divers who dive with us on July 16th 2016 will get a free chocolate bar (surface interval snack!) and are eligible for free Nitrox fills for those already Nitrox certified.
- In Gili Air and the South Gili’s (Lombok) – we’ll host a women-only sunset dive with a free sun-downer drink after the dive.
