It’s not why it’s world famous but we have perfect conditions for courses in Lembeh. This past month has seen plenty of students stepping off our boat and then leaving with more knowledge and skills.
We have had Discover Scuba Divers, Scuba Divers, Open Water Divers, Advanced Open Water Divers, Divemasters and also Specialty Divers including Night, Nitrox, Deep, PPB and Wreck! It’s a lot of variety and shows just how versatile Lembeh is for dive courses.
Not only is Lembeh perfect for diving and is the muck diving capital of the world, but it also has conditions perfect for teaching and learning! Protected by the strait, the surface is usually calm and controlled, meaning you can spend your energy on mastering the skill. With a sloping house reef, this acts as the perfect area for confined water dives and refreshing your skills.
When it is time to go out into open water dives, then you’re not short on choice! A lot of dive centres have to compromise site selection with student divers and certified divers. Fortunately, in Lembeh, due to the nature of its gentle sloping sand, it means that the fun muck divers experience the best Lembeh has to offer and student divers have the perfect shallow start with a gradual slope to increase their experience and confidence safely.
Open water divers, due to their inexperience, are known to often struggle with muck diving conditions but if you learn in these conditions then you find you have divers with only 4 dives can have better trim and buoyancy than much more experienced divers!
Furthering your education in Lembeh couldn’t be easier. Almost every dive site can comfortably host Deep, PPB and Nitrox and with a Wreck, just 2 minutes from the resort, we are perfectly placed to set you up to become a Master Scuba Diver. Almost every diver who comes to Lembeh wants to go on a night dive and most are blown away with what can be found down there. It doesn’t feel like a course when you want to be night diving every night!
Advanced courses are a lot of fun and where else in the world can you say you saw Ornate Ghostpipefish, Robust Ghostpipefish, Blue Ring Octopus, Mosaic Octopus, Flamboyant Cuttlefish, Bobtail Squid, Pygmy Seahorses, Frogfish, fun Crabs and all the rest during the course!
