This week highlight at Two Fish: our first ever Underwater Dance Specialty was completed by one of our Dive Masters, under the close tutelage of dive guide Rolly. Several of our guests have also been inspired to train for the dance qualification, which requires the final exam piece recorded on video.
A very busy week at two fish, with our resort almost full to capacity – an even though this is ‘low’ season! We have qualified a new rescue diver and run a night-diving specialty course, an open water course, two Discover Scuba Diving experience, a Scuba Review, an Advanced course and two Open Water courses as well as continuing 3 divemaster training.

As part of Project AWARE, our dive masters continued to show Blue Planet II and have now shown the first 5 episodes. They have also become far more skilled in Local Diving: and as well as mapping local dive sites they have spotted these rare creatures for our guests: giant frogfish, orangutan crab, blacktip shark, blue-spotted ray, black lion-fish (rare in this area), eagle ray, shrimp, squat lobster, flasher scorpionfish walking on its fins, schooling barracuda and a large octopus that put on a beautiful colour-changing display for us.
Our Dive Master interns are nearing the end of their time here and will be leaving us in two days time. They have successfully passed all their exams so far and have only a few tasks remaining. Keep it going guys!
