Amazing Underwater Adventures in Indonesia, since 2001
Just started my Divemaster internship with Two fish divers. The course started 4 days ago in Bunaken where I`m staying for 3 weeks before going to Lembeh for 2 weeks, then back here at Bunaken for 3 more weeks.
Right, so that is me, finally finished my Dive Master course so can’t believe I have actually done it! Crazy to think that eight weeks ago I only had nine dives under my belt. Thanks to all the wonderful instructors and guides, all finished with my Divemaster Course in Bunaken!!!
This week in TEC …. we were visited by Valerie from Australia who started training for cave diving in Bunaken! Valerie was bitten by the Tech bug after she visited the Oztech dive show and bought a Sidemount wing and reg set. She has her sights set on getting her cave qualifications later this year…
So I have had 2 weeks in Lembeh now and I feel like I have entered a completely different world of diving. Once you think things can’t better they always do. I am fully into my dive master training course which is seriously intense but so much fun at the same time. Here in Lembeh…
I arrived in Indonesia on 22nd Feb, with no idea what I was getting myself in for. 6 weeks, 50 dives, numerous turtles, 5 specialties, 2 earthquakes and 1 snorkel test later… I am a PADI Divemaster!
I suppose the first point I should really make is that this is my first time in Indonesia; in fact I’ve never been this far east before at all, (my previous record being Nepal).
I’m now into week 5 of my 6-week Eco Divemaster Internship, and the move from Lembeh to Bunaken has meant a change of instructors and a change of pace as well as a change of scene.
